Gaming hosts Josh, Ryan and John debate something that’s been simmering for years—who actually deserved Game of the Year? In this episode, we look back at GOTY winners and nominees from the past decade and make our case for which games should’ve taken home the crown. Was Sekiro really the best video in game in 2019? Did It Takes Two deserve to beat Metroid Dread and Resident Evil in one of gamings most mediocre years? And was Elden Ring truly unstoppable in 2022? We break down the biggest video game surprises, the most controversial wins, and the snubs that still haunt us.
