Destiny is Lyfe..
One of the best shooters of all time that was ran into the ground by greed and incompetence.

Well well well here we are..... Destiny my old friend how I hate you, but still miss you so much.
I have over 2,300 HOURS invested in Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 combined. That's nearly 100 DAYS of my life spent shooting aliens, grinding for loot, and completing raids. And you know what? I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Because at its core, Destiny is quite possibly the PERFECT first-person shooter.
The gunplay is unmatched! Every weapon feels incredible, every headshot is satisfying, and every ability flows seamlessly into combat. Combine that with hundreds of weapons, incredible exotics, addictive loot grinding, and some of the greatest cooperative raids ever created, and you have something truly special! I'll never forget spending hours figuring out raid mechanics, yelling at teammates, wiping repeatedly, and FINALLY beating that stupid Boss. Those moments were the best!
And then... corporate greed entered the chat. Expansions. Season passes. Dungeon keys. Eververse. CONTENT VAULTING?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Entire campaigns and planets I PAID FOR just disappeared! Weapons I spent countless hours grinding for became useless, and suddenly Destiny was no longer the game I fell in love with. And that is what makes this so infuriating. Bungie created one of the greatest shooters ever made, only to slowly destroy it through corporate greed, terrible leadership, and sheer incompetence.
Is Destiny 2 a bad game? Absolutely not!
After 2,300 hours, I still consider it one of my greatest gaming experiences. But Destiny didn't lose me because the gameplay got boring. It lost me because the people running the show forgot what made it special. Bungie, you had GOLD in your hands. You didn't need to reinvent it. You just needed to STOP SCREWING IT UP! Destiny wasn't/isn't a bad game.
It was an INCREDIBLE game that deserves so much better.
