PS5 nears 100 million sales as Sony reports 2.6 million last quarter
Sony says it sold 2.6 million PS5 consoles in the quarter that ended September 30, bringing lifetime sales to 97.9 million. That's just shy of the 100 million mark, and the console is still selling even though its price has gone up since launch amid a global components shortage. Sony also pointed to strong digital revenue and a big active player base.
